Our Story

Homes built the way we'd build our own.

My first memories are from a construction site — riding in a wheelbarrow while my dad and I hand-dug a foundation in the Colorado mountains. I've been building homes, in one way or another, ever since.

A note from our founder

"Anyone can build a house. We build homes — and more than that, we build the feeling of home."

When I was six months old, my father set out to build a home for his family in the mountains of Pine, Colorado. Some of my earliest memories are of riding around that site in a wheelbarrow while we hand-dug the foundation together. Building homes isn't something I chose so much as something I was born into.

My dad was a local realtor who took on fix-and-flips over the years, and he taught me plumbing and electrical along the way. My mom taught me drywall and paint. I worked construction and maintenance jobs growing up, and managed a Home Depot while I paid my own way through college — fixing co-workers' homes on the side, because I couldn't stay away from the work. In 2004 I left big-box retail behind to pursue my own venture. I ran a high-end remodeling business for many years before branching into custom homebuilding. The passion was always there; the timing finally felt right.

I view every home we build as our little fingerprint on the world. It brings me real joy to watch a client's dreams and passions take shape — becoming not just something tangible, but one of the most meaningful things they'll ever own. Because a home is far more than money. It's a refuge from the world. A safe space. A sanctuary.

What we believe

Three things we won't compromise

01

Built around you

We don't impose a house style. Every Sanctuary home starts with how one family wants to live, and ends there too.

02

One standard, any style

Modern, traditional, mountain-modern — the look changes, the craftsmanship never does. The quality is in the parts you don't see.

03

Here for the long haul

A decision to build a home is a bold one. We're eternally grateful to be entrusted with it — and we treat every home as a blessing we're building for the family who believed in us.

The people behind it

We don't just build homes. We build feelings.

Our homes carry people through their happiest moments — gatherings with friends, quiet mornings, the whole arc of a life. They give warmth in a cozy space and cool relief in another. And on the days when everything else feels like it's crumbling, they offer something steadier: stability, comfort, a place that's wholly yours.

So we build with the greatest care and attention, out of genuine passion and concern. Our goal is to build emotion into everything we do — peace, comfort, relief, love, joy — and our prayer is that it's felt by everyone who sets foot in one of our homes.

Why families trust us

The biggest decision of your life deserves more than a license.
